"Hiking Hounds is the best! Ellen and her staff are running a top-notch operation! I have a rather “challenging dog “and Ellens staff is so accommodating! Every Tuesday and Thursday my dog stares out the window waiting for his hikers to show up, they are his two favorite days of the week and you better believe he knows exactly what days they are! we also exclusively board our dog with Hiking Hounds. They do a wonderful job making sure our dog is comfortable and cared for. Don’t know what we would do without hiking house!"

Ellen is one of the most thoughtful, trustworthy, experience people whom I would feel comfortable leaving my dog with.

She's attentive and truly cares about the dogs and the humans they come with.

The dogs are always happy and exhausted after the long hikes they get to go on, I know my dog loves getting to be in a pack exploring the mountains everyday!

Hiking Hounds is the best dog hiking company in salt lake, I can assure you of that!

Two years later...and Ellen and her team have continued to take care of my dog year round. She has saved my butt on so many occasions - last minute work trip? Check! Decide last-minute to head out of town on a whim? Check! Need to book my dog on a hike the following day since I'll be working late - no problem!!!

I continue to feel SO relieved that Ellen is there.  And does Pepper still sprint out of my car when I pull up to her place - you betcha!! Since I've las reviewed, she's even started her own Instagram account. I mean, I feel like a total yuppie, but get SUCH a kick out of seeing my pup having fun on social media.

Pepper continues to be a well behaved dog, and I attribute that to the great training Ellen has given me, and the extra exercise my pup gets when I'm not available.

We've been using Hiking Hounds on and off now for 2 years and we could not be more please with the process. With the wife being a teacher we do not need year round support and we take breaks through out the year due to her schedule. Ellen in pretty flexible with our schedule as a result and her team of walkers is also pleasant.

Hiking Hounds and Ellen has been amazing at helping me with my rescued black lab, Chaco! Chaco is a big dog (over 80lbs) and needs to have regular exercise. I feel really fortunate to have learned about Hiking Hounds early on. Over the past 5 years, Ellen has provided the most amazing hikes and care for Chaco.

Ellen and her team are FANTASTIC! We have a pointer/cattle dog mix with lots of energy and occasional aggression towards other dogs. I asked Ellen for some help teaching me how to train Pepper to be a "good citizen of the trail" -since she teaches and requires all her furry hiking buddies to be on their best behavior if they're to be off leash. I scheduled a training hike with Ellen and she calmly taught me how to better communicate with my furry friend. We're still working, but now my pup comes when she's off leash in the woods (even when squirrels are around!) and when I want her to walk past other dogs and avoid confrontation. Amazing!!!! 

I usually feel super guilty when I go out of town - but no more! Last time I picked up Pepper after leaving her for almost a week, she happily greeted me - then went back into Ellen's to play with her new friends. I am beyond grateful. Can't recommend Hiking Hounds enough!!

Excellent boarding, daycare, and hikes for your best friend.  Ellen treats your dog with love and affection, and provides the healthiest hike imaginable.  My dog is used to coming to work with me, but when I travel and leave my human family at home, Ellen picks up the slack by taking my pupster for a vigerous hike in the mountains.  A total life saver!
